In North Queensferry there is Deep Sea World,
with its underwater tunnel where the sea life can be viewed from
below. There are also many pools and tanks with other fish and
animals. Also you can not fail to admire the Forth Rail Bridge built in 1890, it's a testament to
the engineers and designers who built it. |
North Queensferry is also ideally situated
for walking along the Fife Coastal Path, and enjoying the fine coastal
views. It is also ideally sited to enjoy bird watching - there are
mud-flats for wading birds and cliffs where fulmars can often be
seen.

The village is close to Rosyth from where

Edinburgh is a 20 minute train journey away
and is a beautiful, historic city where there is lots to see and do
especially in August, when the Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe
takes place.
Other places of interest in the city are Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood
Palace, Royal Yacht Britannia and the new Scottish Parliament
Building.
|
In Fife there is St
Andrews, which is not only the home of golf but also a historic
university town and compact enough to make all its attractions
within easy walking distance of the town centre.
|
The East Neuk of Fife with its small pretty fishing
villages is not far away. Other attractions in Fife include the
ancient capital of Scotland - the Royal Burgh of Dunfermline, the
historic Village of Culross, Falkland Palace and Knockhill Racing
Circuit.
